Welcome to Valkyrien Skies Wiki!

Valkyrien Skies is a Minecraft mod that adds physics, and therefore aircraft, to the game. It was originally created by thebest108 (@Best108 on GitHub) in 2016, with significant help from DaPorkchop (@DaMatrix on GitHub). It is now currently mostly developed by thebest108 and Rubydesic (@Rubydesic on GitHub). See the Credits for more information.

Valkyrien Skies was formerly known as Valkyrien Warfare and Valkyrien Warfare Revamped.

Installation

Installation of Valkyrien Skies is simple. There are two different versions of the mod you can download: Development, and Release. Release is a stable version of the mod that most users should use.

Please note that the current version of Valkyrien Skies is for Minecraft Forge 1.12.2 ONLY! The 1.12 version will not be updated, only the (WIP) 1.16 Fabric and Forge ports will be officially maintained.

Steps to Install the Latest Valkyrien Skies Release (v1.0)

1. Install Minecraft Forge
2. Download the Valkyrien Skies Mod from CurseForge. Beware: downloading the mod from any other website except the official ones may give your computer a virus!
3. Copy it to your clipboard
4. Open up your file explorer and navigate to %AppData%/.minecraft/mods (Make it if it doesn't exist)
5. Paste the file there
6. Launch Minecraft Forge

Steps to Install the Latest Valkyrien Skies Development Build (v1.0)

1. Install Minecraft Forge
2. Download the Valkyrien Skies Mod from this link. Beware: downloading the mod from any other website except the official ones may give your computer a virus!
3. Copy it to your clipboard
4. Open up your file explorer and navigate to %AppData%/.minecraft/mods (Make it if it doesn't exist)
5. Paste the file there
6. Launch Minecraft Forge

Steps to Compile & Install Valkyrien Skies

If you have a few minutes spare you can clone the latest source code from GitHub and follow these steps to compile it.

Stability is NOT to be expected with this method.

If you do not know what you are doing download a CurseForge or CircleCI build instead.
